Will I survive until December?
This morning someone asked me what he can do to survive the remainder of this calendar year. My answer: Change your thinking…
Nothing has come about within a thought. Every emotion, feeling, state, or thing created by man was and is created by a thought. What is amazing about our thoughts is that they don’t ever stop to create; it does not have an OFF button. As you read this, you have thoughts that create images, feelings, etc.
Every emotion that you experience is the consequence of a thought, whether that is a conscious thought or a subconscious thought.
Why is it that when we have a certain emotion, for example anger, that we find ourselves in many situations that fire up even more anger within us? And we even cross paths with so many angry people?
Quantum physics teaches us that every cell in our body, when broken down to its smallest component, comprises energy. You will also learn that all energy vibrates. All emotions, whether a positive or negative energy thus has a unique vibrational frequency and like vibration attracts like vibration, so the frequency of vibration attracts frequencies that resonate with it.
That implies that whatever you dominantly think/focus on will result in a certain emotion with its unique vibrational frequency and you will attract even more of that same energy into your life.
The more I focus on how tired I am and how things do not work out for me, the more I will attract those feelings and experiences into my life. However, should I focus on joy, inner peace, abundance, etc. I will attract even more of those qualities into my life.
Your thoughts and emotional state must be aligned with what you want; focus only on what you choose to have. Sadly, many people focus primarily on what they don’t want in their lives. Rather focus all your attention on the positive and what you choose to have.
In order to make it to December, we should steer our thinking away from how tired we are, and how our to-do list never gets any shorter, how ungrateful our boss is, etc. Make the conscious decision to monitor your thoughts and emotional state every minute of the day and should you catch yourself wandering off the positive path, consciously bring your thoughts back.
Make it practical: Let’s say you look at your to-do list and start doubting whether you will ever get through it. Firstly, change your self-talk – tell yourself that you can do this and that you are already making great progress. Then, recall a time when you felt certain about your abilities. Recall that feeling until you can actually feel it through your entire body. Now, tell yourself again that you can get this done. Tackle your next task while holding on to this feeling of certainty.
The more you practice it, the easier you will find it to redirect your thoughts towards the positive; one step at a time!
